Professor Guan Heng Yeoh is Director of the ARC Training Centre for Fire Retardant Materials and Safety Technologies.
The Centre is developing mist systems that can spray liquid retardants on roofs and walls to protect buildings against amber attack
They are working with Flame Security International (FSI) under two CRC-Projects, environment-friendly fire-fighting foam will be developed that will be more effective than currently used foams (PFAS/PFOS)
They are working with FSI on a new CRC-Project, next generation perovskite solar power membrane will be developed that will be flexible, efficient, non-flammable, and can generate from both direct and indirect sunlight from vertical and horizontal surfaces
UNSW is currently partnering with FSI towards commercialising products for bushfire fighting, building protection and electricity generation
