Professor Guan Heng Yeoh

Professor Guan Heng Yeoh is Director of the ARC Training Centre for Fire Retardant Materials and Safety Technologies. 

• The Centre is developing mist systems that can spray liquid retardants on roofs and walls to protect buildings against amber attack 

• They are working with Flame Security International (FSI) under two CRC-Projects, environment-friendly fire-fighting foam will be developed that will be more effective than currently used foams (PFAS/PFOS) 

• They are working with FSI on a new CRC-Project, next generation perovskite solar power membrane will be developed that will be flexible, efficient, non-flammable, and can generate from both direct and indirect sunlight from vertical and horizontal surfaces 

• UNSW is currently partnering with FSI towards commercialising products for bushfire fighting, building protection and electricity generation
